Dream Catcher.
made from recycled items.
did you ever, when you were young collect the confetti from party poppers? well i did, and today i found lots under my stair case tucked away in a bag. so i decided to use it for my dream catcher.
so to make the hoop, i found an empty hot chocolate container with a lid. so i cut out the centre of the lid, and it leaves you with an decent sized hoop , ideal for your dream catcher..
once you have done that, go through your confetti or cotton or whatever your using, and choose the colours you wish to use. im going to use, yellow, red and white.
And then begin. about a 10cm strip of it would do. wrap it around the hoop and stick the beginning and end of strip down with pritt-stick.
well anyway, back to the one. soon, after about 15 minutes of wrapping around your deam catchers nearly complete, all you need to do now is the inside and the beads and feathers.
then tuck it under and move it to the right hand side..
after tuck that under and stretch it to the left hand side glue it down on each stop to make sure its steady..
then , tuck that under and place it to the right hand side again. soon you'll be able to see its a star..
then place it over and up to the top again forming a full star. glue down the end on top of the beginning sticking down..
rotate it around until it looks like a good star to you. do the above one more time so it looks more fuller.
then get rope or cotton and tie it at the bottom of the dream catcher and add beads. make sure you tie a not after so the beads stay on. and then tie feathers on.
then add rope at the top and hang it up, by your window or above your bed..
hope you enjoyed learning how i made my dream catcher out of recycled items.
